The customized LT SPICE models presented in this module are a nice complement to existing classical SPICE models while offering some distinct advantages. The advanced LT SPICE Thermistor models provide a more detailed view for each Vishay NTC sensor type with the inclusion of dynamic temperature change. By having a complete model, the LT SPICE simulation more closely resembles reality. In addition, even more accurate results can be achieved because the advanced LT SPICE models allow external simulation inputs that are obtained from real life environmental conditions. Possibly the most important advantage is the time savings and cost savings that can be realized due to the accuracy of the simulations and the lessened need for hardware testing. Finally, another upside is Vishay’s flexibility to offer custom models for compatibility with Worst Case and Monte Carlo analyses as it pertains to the customer's specific application needs.
