The graph shown here provides an insight into how the NTC Thermistor model handles the self-heating aspect. Managing or limiting the self-heating effect is very important in circuits where NTCs are being used as temperature sensors. When too high of current is applied to an NTC thermistor, the self-heating affect can cause significant inaccuracies in the simulation if not taken into account. In this case, the current has been excessively multiplied by a factor of 10 (2mA instead of 0.2mA). The result can clearly be seen in the simulation as the NTC voltage drops earlier as compared to the normal situation.
