The development tools for the LC60 include a special edition of the CodeWarrior development studio and the DEMO9S08LC60 development kit. The CodeWarrior software provides 16K of C-compiler memory to start development on the LC60 at no cost. It also supports project management for up to 32 files with compiler upgrades available at additional cost. Also, the low-cost and easy-to-use LC60 development board, shown here, includes an MC9S08LC60 device in an 80-pin LQFP package and custom LCD glass which supports 160 segments, and integrated temperature sensor and accelerometer. The USB multilink is only necessary if access of on-chip data is required on prototype and production boards.
