In general, the DNT modules are multi-purpose, multi-functional, long range RF modules, supporting analog and digital inputs and outputs and serial data. DNT radio modules offer high reliability and secure FHSS capabilities at very low cost. RFM’s proprietary frequency hopping technology provides both robust communications reliability and interference rejection while minimizing multi-path fading. Also, DNT radio modules are highly user configurable for maximum flexibility with varying RF transmit power and a selection RF data rates. This capability allows one module to work for many products, thus when using the DNT Series, designers can be confident that the radio performance can be modified if needed when the design is finished without having to design-in another radio. DNT modules can be safely used in situations where FHSS performance is required, multiple applications are being addressed, the application is moderately cost sensitive, analog and/or digital I/O is needed, battery operation is required, and large networks are required.
