Welcomes to the Texas Instruments Tiva C Series TM4C129x product training module. This module will cover guidelines for using the Ethernet Controller, on the brand new Tiva C Series TM4C129x family of ARM cortex-M4 microcontrollers for applications that connect, communicate, and control. This module will discuss clocking requirements & recommendations for different configurations of the Ethernet controller module. A schematic can be used as a reference for applications involving Ethernet using TM4C129x devices. Finally, it will include some key points to keep in mind while making selections for external components such as termination and bias resistors, decoupling capacitors, and isolation transformers. Following this discussion, some signal routing & board layout guidelines can be used to optimize an application for the highest performance.
