The GWS250 can be used in equipment that needs to meet either Energy Star in the US or the European ErP/EuP requirements for standby power, as the unit is specified to draw less than 0.5W. In this condition the output is inhibited using the remote ON/OFF feature. Of course, no power is being pulled from the standby output at this time. Even when the output is enabled, the offload power draw is only 6W.
