The new SFH series IDC sockets are available in a dual row configuration with 3-50 pins per row. Some series are offered in less positions. The SFH series features the insulation displacement pins for AWG 28 flat ribbon cable connection. The strain relief creates a bend in the cable, inhibiting the transfer of any tension on the cable to the contact lines. This provides a more secure connection between the flat cable and the socket, thus preventing damages on the insulation displacement pins as well as the flat cable when pulling the cable. All IDC socket series come with the optional polarizing key that helps to ensure proper mating alignment with box headers. The IDC socket series mates with the box header line, thus creating board-to-cable interconnections. Plating options include full gold flash, selective gold, and full matte tin. In addition to being RoHS compliant, all parts support operating temperatures up to 105°C.
