Molex and Vitesse demonstrated the Molex QSFP 10 meter active optical cable running at the FDR data rate of 14Gbps through a Vitesse VSC7224 retimer IC. Molex QSFP FDR AOC incorporates Silicon Photonics IC technology from Luxtera and supports links up to 4000 meters over singlemode optical fiber while consuming less than 1 watt of power.
