HS10 Heat Stress WBGT Meter

Triplett's HS10 monitors indoor/outdoor heat index, as well as WBGT to keep awareness of ever-changing conditions to help limit the danger of heat-related injury. WBGT calculates temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle, and cloud cover (solar radiation) to determine heat stress in direct sunlight. WBGT differs from the heat index by calculating temperature and humidity for shady areas.

Every year, dozens of workers die and thousands become ill while working in extreme heat or humid conditions. Heat illnesses can affect anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Even elite athletes need to take precautions while practicing their sports in extreme heat conditions. Monitoring WBGT and heat index helps users to respond to these conditions by finding plenty of water, rest, and shade.
