The SiT9120 is a fixed-frequency differential oscillator with LVPECL and LVDS output signaling. It operates across thirty-one standard frequencies from 25 MHz to 212.5 MHz with 0.6 ps (typ.) integrated RMS phase jitter (12 kHz to 20 MHz), meeting jitter requirements for 1 GbE to 10 GbE applications. Frequency stability options of ±10, ±20, ±25, and ±50 ppm cover operating temperature ranges of -20°C to +70°C and -40°C to +85°C. Supply voltage options of 2.5 V and 3.3 V span 2.25 V to 3.63 V.

Package options of 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm, 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm, and 7.0 mm x 5.0 mm match industry-standard footprints. Field programmability supports any combination of voltage, frequency stability, and package within the operating range. The SiT9120 replaces quartz, SAW, and overtone oscillators without design changes. It supports system clocking in 1GbE to 10GbE Ethernet, PCIe®, SATA/SAS, Fibre Channel, FPGA, optical modules, wireless backhaul, and data center applications.

The SiT9501 targets communications applications that require ultra-low-jitter and low power in a small form factor. It operates across fourteen standard networking frequencies from 25 MHz to 644.53125 MHz with 70 fs (typ.) RMS phase jitter and 0.01 ps/mV power supply induced jitter sensitivity. Output drivers include LVPECL, LVDS, HCSL, low-power HCSL, and FlexSwing™, which replicates LVPECL performance with independent VOH and VOL control for interfacing with non-standard input-voltage requirements. Frequency stability options of ±20, ±25, ±30, and ±50 ppm cover operating temperature ranges of -20°C to +70°C and -40°C to +105°C. Supply voltages of 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.8 V, and 3.3 V span 1.71 V to 3.63 V.

Package options of 2.0 mm x 1.6 mm, 2.5 mm x 2.0 mm, and 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm support small form-factor designs with stringent jitter requirements. Vibration sensitivity is 20 times better than quartz equivalents, reducing packet loss in high-vibration environments. The SiT9501 is rated at one billion hours MTBF and carries a lifetime warranty. It supports clocking in optical modules, 100 G to 800 G Ethernet, coherent optics, networking switches and gateways, AI and graphics cards, and data center infrastructure.

Across both families, the SiTime MEMS architecture eliminates frequency aging, mechanical sensitivity, and activity dips associated with quartz oscillators. Field programmability spans frequency, voltage, stability, and output driver type, reducing qualification overhead and shortening lead times. A single device configuration supports multiple designs, consolidating inventory and reducing shortage exposure. In high-speed communications, networking, and data center applications, jitter, power supply noise immunity, and environmental robustness directly affect system performance. These oscillator families provide MEMS reliability and programmability in industry-standard packages.
