SMARTLED™ PURE 0201 Ultra-Compact LED

The SMARTLED PURE 0201 from ams OSRAM is a next-generation, ultra-compact LED engineered to provide highly uniform, high-quality light in the smallest available spaces. Built on chip scale package technology with a footprint of just 0.6 mm x 0.3 mm and a height of 0.22 mm, this LED is optimized for ultra-slim device architectures where every fraction of a millimeter matters.

Unlike conventional top emitting LEDs, SMARTLED PURE 0201 features a side emitting design combined with a batwing shaped radiation pattern and a wide 165° viewing angle, enabling exceptionally uniform illumination. This unique optical behavior allows designers to place diffusers closer to the LED without introducing hotspots, uneven edges, or optical distortions—ideal for clean symbols, icons, and light guides in slim housings.

The LED is available in multiple single-color variants including white, red, true green, and blue, each optimized for balanced output and visibility even at shallow viewing angles. This flexibility enables consistent visual performance across a wide range of consumer, industrial, and wearable applications.

Designed for tight integration, SMARTLED PURE 0201 supports operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C and offers ESD robustness up to 2 kV, making it suitable for demanding real world environments.
